About me

I have been working as a translator, interpreter and language teacher for 20 years. I enjoy my job because it gives me the opportunity to meet interesting and inspiring people from all walks of life. Services
Language courses
I offer individual as well as group classes. The target participants of the lessons are mostly managers of the companies (strong focus on the ability to communicate, understand and be understood even in difficult business negotiations) but also the regular employees (with the aim to be able to communicate in the daily business).
The exact content, number and length of the classes are always agreed individually. However, the focus is always on practical use of the language. For example, if you have to give an important presentation or will be attending a meeting with an important client, I will prepare you accordingly (and thoroughly) to make the best impression.
Translations
My specialties are legal and business translations, sometimes overlapping into marketing and PR.
Examples of the types of documents I usually translate:
Purchase agreements, lease and leasing agreements, contracts for work done, director contracts, share purchase agreement, general terms and conditions, articles of association, report on associated entities, annual reports, manager reports for the foreign parent company, extracts from register, communication with antitrust authorities, legal actions etc.
Interpreting
I strongly recommend using the services of a professional interpreter for your business meetings with international partners to avoid any potential misunderstanding. A professional interpreter increases the effectiveness of the meeting immensely.
Typical examples of situations where I act as an interpreter:
Annual meetings, business negotiations, internal meetings with the managers of the parent company, appointments with a notary, negotiations with suppliers, employee/customer trainings.

Prices

Language lessons
Between 600 and 700 CZK for 60 minutes depending on the level and number of students and commute time to the client.

Translations
Standard translations – starting from 380 CZK per standard page of the target language
Certified translations – starting from 590 CZK per standard page of the target language. Express translations within 24 hours are subject to a surplus charge of 50%, express translations within 48 hours are subject to a surplus charge of 25% and work on weekends and public holidays to a surcharge of 35%.
The minimal charged unit is 1 standard page. Afterwards, any commenced half of the standard page shall be charged. A standard page shall mean 1 800 characters including spaces.
After a longer cooperation and according to the size of the request, individual prices and payment terms can be negotiated.

Interpreting services
Half day interpreting (4 hours) – 3 200 CZK
Whole day interpreting (8 hours) – 6 400 CZK
Every commenced hour exceeding these time limits is subject to a charge of 700 CZK per 60 minutes
After a longer cooperation and according to the size of the order, individual prices and payment terms can be negotiated.
All stated prices are final, I´m not a VAT payer.
